This running pace calculator uses your distance + time to calculate pace. It then uses the Riegel formula to estimate a finish time for your chosen goal distance.

What you enter

  • Distance: The length of your recent run (km or miles).
  • Time: How long that run took (mm:ss or hh:mm:ss).
  • Goal distance: The race distance you want to predict (5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, or custom).

Formulas and assumptions

  • Pace:Pace = time / distance
  • Prediction:T2 = T1 × (D2 / D1)^1.06
  • Easy:1.20–1.30 × race pace
  • Tempo:1.05–1.10 × race pace
  • Interval:0.90–0.95 × race pace
  • Rounding:Pace rounded to the nearest second.
  • Conversion:1 mi = 1.609 km.
  • Terrain:The terrain toggle changes the advisory note only (math unchanged).

Tip: If your input run was not a race effort, treat the predicted finish time as optimistic.
